I'm walking on the expo floor scopeing out the various booths. I see men, women and children standing proud by their works of art, their passion. I to, stand in line with my art and my passion. As I await to talk to each representative, I observe. I analyize the reaction of the crowd, feel their level of excitment towards the video game. The player plays and reacts. Then I listen, as the creator and/or publisher tells us their fiction, their tales of unimaginable adventures to be had in their game. The very thing that breaths life to my art of Live Action Video Game Trailers, stories. My turn approaches and I ask the most important question to them. "Would you like to hear how I can bring your wonderful story to life!?"

Networking its a storyteller's venture.

When task to create something not in existence yet, inspiration and imagination become my working foundation. It is not always an intangible thing to grasp. All around us something triggers the infinity spark of the brain to think. Now with the omega cyber world we call the internet, we can tap into places and ideals beyond our physical reach. I constantly watch videos that contain places and ideals beyond todays thinking. It is sometimes scary what we find but all the more exciting; or I’ll re watch a video that inspires me to think a certain way. As I write I listen to music that compliments my current thinking and idea. I allow a video to play in the background while the spark flares in my minds eye. It is always a unique and memorable ride and I take those memories as a director venturing to bring those experiences to my audience. Here is a link to a video I let run while as I create. Enjoy!

We are looking strong for this year. We’ve got scripts locked and loaded and simply waiting for our friends in corporate to give us the green light. Many people wonder why creating content is an arduous process. Beside all the prepping for production, there is a side that few people experience and that’s corporate. An entity filled with lawyers, executives and secret agents whose sole existence is to keep the red tape taut. Aside from money being an obvious variable, both company’s values must match for a cohesive business to business relationship. As well as having a common interest and/or goal, such as creating an Epic Live Action Video Game Trailer, creates for a healthy symbiotic bond. One relies on the other to create blockbuster products. While the other relies on the other to sale the heck out of the product. They both must first believe in the content being created, or it doesn’t work. Rest assure when entering into the corporate world, you will find more doubters than believers. But it is your job as creators to bring the excitement. And we have been bringing it to Comic Con, and soon PAX EAST, making new corporate friends and bring them along the Z Pictures express ride towards cinematic history.

Possibly before the end of the year, our beloved video, DEAD SPACE: Chase to Death may reach 300,000 views on YouTube. Our estimated goal was 200,000. This year has be a memorable and rewarding year for Z Pictures. We connected with companies like Film Annex and Machinima for our next years projects. Our hard work and meticulous planning was never left unrewarded. Z Pictures this year was represented in three film festivals without cost and awarded the STAFF PICK from Vimeo (That was awesome!). We are currently working on creating a Z Pictures intro to accompany our future projects. Thanks to Rob Reider, from Akahon Audio, Z Pictures has an Epic Theme song. We are working with Batch Frame on the visuals, so we can deliver to you the full experience. We are developing some scripts which contain some sci fi, action and/or fantastical element to its story. Finally, been in pre-production for our next LAVGT, which we will be posting about our progress, on our Facebook page, throughout the beginning of next year. Thank you so much for your loyal support and successful 2013. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Well the event for Machinima Interactive Film Festival was pretty awesome. If you love video games and movies that festival was the place to be. It was wonderful meeting creators and the audiences' with the same crave for awesome visuals and killers stories. That following weekend our crew went back into the creative process and created a pre-visual concept for our next LAVGT. These pre-viz are an invaluable tool to planning your next motion picture. It's the appropriate time to figure a lot of issues and elements needed before going into production. We worked out composition, actions, and equipment needed to properly create those memorable cinematic shots. When edited together you get an idea of what you will need for cuts and which angles work best. After the fun day of jumping on top of your friends and visualizing all the fun you're going to have on set, you now have a memorable video to look back on. If you have an idea grab a video recorder, all smartphones have them, and plan out your next epic tell of pure awesomeness! You can check out some pictures from the MIFF event on our Z Pictures Facebook Page. The above pictures our still images from our pre-viz.
